Religion In Nigeria

As we know there are three main religions in Africa: Islamic,Christianity, and Traditional Religion

Today our focus is on Christians. Here in Nigeria there are large amounts of churches both big and small. You can see them in open spaces or in little shops, but no matter where they are located there are always members which of course is a good thing 'where two or three are gathered in His name he is there'.

But let's talk about how religion has blinded the Christians in this part of the world. I've seen some alarming things in some "churches" like where a pastor tells his congregations to drink rat poison to show they have power over death. I for one find that absurd and the fact people followed his instructions alarming.  We black men take the words of our Pastors, Priests, evangelists and the likes as gold which of course is not bad but there are some things we are meant to stop and rethink.

Let's be frank some of our so called Pastors use us to make money. They haven't been 'called' they see the church as a lucrative business, an easy way to make money because they know no matter what people will come, which is very sad. Religion has been used as a guise to lead us astray.

A Pastor all in the name of deliverance would slam a member to the ground like its Monday Night RAW, even with that the amount of people that still attends the "Church" is alarming.

Some of us are committed to not serving God but our pastors, priests. We forget that they are only here to guide us not to worship them or see them as gods. Some of us are blinded .We physically can see but spiritually we've been blinded and decieved, led astray.

Some of these pastors would introduce to us medicines. Like if we do bath with the soap they give to us(his members) we would be healed but we've forgotten that "by his stripes we are healed" we've forgotten that Jesus is the only one we should look unto for help not our pastors.

Yes,Christ said we should obey our leaders, pastors, prophets but but to whom much is given more is expected.

Like the scriptures says.

"For my people perish for the lack of wisdom"

We should learn to use our instinct, wisdom, observe.

Remember we've got a lot of false prophets as the Bible warned us.
